Shelly Davis-Smith, Managing Attorney for The Davis Law Firm, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston in 1999. She also joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Lambda chapter, and served as Treasurer. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Shelly worked for Duke Energy as an accountant intern then for CMS Energy as an accountant until 2002. Shelly left the workforce and attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, where she served as Senior Law Review Research Editor and graduated cum laude in 2005.

Shelly is most passionate about providing stellar legal representation to underprivileged, disenfranchised people, those overlooked and considered underdogs in battle. Her calling in life is to protect and fight for the rights of the Davids in this world against their real-life Goliath giants. This is why she will always be on the side of the plaintiff in an employment law matter, why she will not turn away a client with little to no assets in a family dispute, and why she is comfortable going up against a large firm when it comes to seeking damages for injured clients.

However, Shelly does more than step in to advocate for clients. Her mission is to equip them with tools to fight for themselves in future battles. She believes in empowerment through advocacy.

Shelly’s passion derives from being the daughter of a military hero. She grew up traveling and residing all over the world, including Germany, South Korea, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. As a result, Shelly has a special knack for relating to and getting along well with a wide range of people from various cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her father’s twenty-five years of service in the U.S. Army instilled in Shelly the desire to be the hero her clients need.

Shelly can also relate to clients on a personal level by balancing her busy schedule with a husband, three children, and two dogs. She rarely has spare time, but when she does, she enjoys athletic activities such as running, swimming, biking, and roller-skating. She also enjoys traveling and reading tearjerkers.

With Shelly’s educational attainment, community involvement, advocacy mindset, hard work ethic, and family grounding, it is no wonder Shelly’s clients feel they are not just another case for billable hours. They can come to The Davis Law Firm and feel like family.

Sheree Spiller is the mother of two boys and wife of six years to her longtime beau. Shea brings a cheerful demeanor to her roles as certified paralegal and notary public at The Davis Law Firm. A native Houstonian, she graduated from the University of Phoenix (2008) and the Center for Advanced Legal Studies (2011). When she’s not assertively helping the Davis Law Firm legal staff or spending quality time with her family and friends, she’s reading a good book and being a shoe fashionista.

Not one to be shy, Sherea’s least known hobby involves the creative outlet of writing poetry and performing open mic in front of large audiences.
